We use fire-rated caulk and low-expansion spray foam for air sealing work. Product selection is based on gap size, location, and fire rating requirements. We do not use standard expanding foam in locations where fire-rated materials are required.
Air sealing work is done from inside the attic. Most of the work is not visible from the living space below. A standard air sealing project in a Chatsworth home takes three to five hours.
