Stop Paying for Energy You Waste

Energy efficiency means paying less per unit of energy and wasting none of it. Pure Eco's home energy audits find where LA homes leak — then we fix it.

What energy efficiency actually means

Efficiency isn't just a smaller bill — it's less cost per unit of energy consumed, minimal waste, and never using more than you need. A business with large bills can be very efficient; a small home with modest bills can be leaking money through every crack. Most buildings in Los Angeles — especially older homes — sit far below today's efficiency standards, which means money seeps out every time the heat or AC turns on.

The Energy Audit

How a full energy audit works

An audit is the first step of any systematic upgrade — until you know your current level, your target, and the path between them, you're guessing.

Walk-over inspection

We inspect walls, joints, window and door frames — interior and exterior — for cracks, fissures, and draft openings.

Leak detection

Attic and problem areas are examined with blower equipment and infrared cameras to find and mark every air leak, including around the attic trap door, pipes, wires, and fixtures.

Systems check

Basement/crawl space, furnace, water heater, HVAC units and ducts, vents and fans, windows, doors, and foundation all get inspected — and insulation is checked for damp, mold, or breakdown.

Findings & options

You get the results with recommended correctives and honest pricing — no pressure, just the knowledge to make an informed decision.

Upgrades we typically recommend

  • Insulation (batts or blown-in; fiberglass, cellulose, denim, or Roxul) after professional air sealing — the #1 priority
  • Replacing damaged insulation or topping up existing protection
  • Attic + crawl space insulation, plus all exterior-facing walls
  • Radiant barrier on the attic roof — reflects summer heat back out
  • Air sealing at windows, doors, vents, and fireplace flues
  • Ventilation: clean, effective attic fans and vents
  • Duct cleaning/sealing or HVAC upgrades where warranted
  • Weather stripping, caulking, and efficient lighting details

How much can it save?

A full energy-efficiency upgrade can reduce energy bills by 30–50%, depending on the changes made. Even a modest $50/month saving is $600 a year — $6,000 over ten years — and efficient equipment needs fewer repairs while the building itself fares better. Upgrades can also qualify for federal tax credits, state incentives, and utility rebates.
